Nokia X2 – Nokia Goes Android Once Again

Posted on 02 July 2014 by ChrisD

The competition between technological giants Nokia, Samsung and Apple has escalated to a whole new level. Nokia had tapped into the Android market with the introduction of its X and XL series. Now, they have once again made use of the operating system for the Nokia X2. To learn more about this phone, keep reading.

The X2 is colorful and is encased in a unique translucent outer layer. You can choose from a variety of colors, including black, orange, green and yellow. The design is simplistic in nature and features a 4.3-inch screen.

Considering the price tag of $135, it comes equipped with a wide array of options and features you can take advantage of. It not only houses a 1.2-GHz dual core processor but it also offers 1GB of RAM space. You will have 4GB of internal storage available. The phone also features an impressive 5-megapixel camera. A dual-sim version of the X2 will be released in the near future.

The phone is impressive in terms of battery life. It proves to be better than its predecessor thanks to its 1800 mAh power pack. But it does have the tendency to lag in comparison to other smartphones with similar specifications. It is a highly customized version of the Android platform and makes use of aspects from the Windows Phone OS. This can be somewhat confusing for users not familiar with either of the platforms.

You also have access to a wide range of various built-in apps like Outlook, Skype and One Drive. In addition, you will have access to Nokia’s own Android app shop which includes various third-party applications.

If you are looking for a phone that is handy in terms of personal and business use, there is no better option than the Nokia X2 considering its features and affordability. The price is the main attraction. If you are on a tight budget and need a smartphone that can get the job done, go for the Nokia X2 by all means.

Upcoming Nokia Smartphone With 40 MP Camera

Posted on 17 June 2013 by ChrisD

Companies that are engaged in developing smartphones are constantly busy competing with one another to introduce something new which is totally out of the box. The Finish giant, none other than Nokia, has been one of the top brands where smartphones are concerned. Not long before, it has released several of its Lumia series; with the recent one, the Lumia 925, the company is once again ready to hit the market with the new Nokia EOS with 40 MP camera.

Although the release date or other specifications are not yet announced, news for the latest gadget comes from the images which were leaked over the internet. This particular smartphone is being suggested to have a resemblance to Lumia 800 and 925, especially with the casing and rear camera plate.

Other news on social media websites like Twitter reported that the engineers and workers of the company are still testing the Electric Optical System (EOS). Single shot images were taken and leaked among the collection of many, but there’s no doubt that Nokia is yet preparing to take over the world of smartphone.

The hottest gossip in the air about this new mobile phone is that of its camera which may be of either 40 or 41 MP. Whereas the casing may be that of hard plastic just like to Lumia 800 or metallic like the recent 925, Nokia may combine the features of both to give it a new look.

The company has already scheduled an event with the name “Zoom Reinvented” next month on July 11th, 2013 in New York. Rumor has it that Nokia will announce the EOS on the occasion. By starting a partnership between Microsoft and Nokia, there’s no telling what both will come up with; but one thing’s for sure: whatever it is, it will be better and all the more smarter.

Although just sample images were leaked, they were enough to send a jolt of excitement among users. Besides, the name Nokia is itself enough to create a rush of adrenaline when it comes to mobile gizmos. So just wait and see what the company is cooking up next!
