Razer Tiamet 7.1: Surround Sound Gaming Headset Review

Posted on 17 August 2017

The introduction of the Razer Tiamet 7.1 has left gaming fanatics drooling over its efficiency and performance and has left other companies spellbound with its supremacy. It has been described on Razer’s website as being the world’s first circumaural headphones (full size headphones), which uses 10 discrete drivers to provide gamers the most amazing audio experience they have ever had.

Ask yourself what price you’re willing to pay to listen to the footsteps of your opponent to gain an upper hand on him. Do you want to precisely “pinpoint” your enemy’s location by accurately tracing the sound of a gunshot? Well these things might not be possible with your regular headsets, but with the Tiamet 7.1, you have an edge over your opponent because of the efficiency of your audio device.

The Razer Tiamet 7.1 is equipped with 10 discrete drivers, 5 in each cup, which provide a gaming experience that is exponentially more stimulating than regular headsets. The sound is so clear and lifelike that you will feel you are actually there and this acoustic awareness will allow you to dominate the battlefield with ease and confidence.

A control unit is also supplied, which can be used to easily tune your headphones. Adjust the volume of each audio channel individually to enhance sound quality, depending on the game and its sound effects. Turn up the bass or tone it down, it is all a matter of personal preference. The control box makes it extremely simple to configure your headset. It also gives you the ability to switch between your desktop speakers and your headphones at the press of a button, saving you the time and the effort of rewiring your device.

The Tiamet 7.1 is also equipped with a boom mic – which is easily adjustable. You can bend the mic in any position, adjusting it to suit your convenience. This is to facilitate in-game chat, which can be vital to turn the odds in your favor.

Experts at Razer have outdone themselves with a product that has attracted the attention of gamers throughout the industry. Sure, they come with a $200 price tag, but the experience – that really matters.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus: Revolutionary Gaming Laptop

Posted on 31 July 2017

A decade ago, high-Fi gamin on laptops was considered absurd with so many standalone components that had to be purchased. The inception of gaming laptops brought a boom in the gaming industry, a much needed win for PC-based gamers that preferred PC gaming in comparison to buying consoles such as the PlayStation or the Xbox. Gaming laptops, in the beginning, were huge, bulky machines which had a limited amount of memory and laughable specifications. But they have come a long way.

Modern gaming laptops are slim, smart and savage. Take the ASUS ROG Zephyrus, which is an absolute beast. It has set very high standards among ultra-thin laptops, taking competitors by surprise.

The ASUS Zephyrus is one of the most aesthetically built laptops in the world, which gives its owner a sense of pride.
When it comes to ASUS’s flagship PC, it’s not just the look that’s appealing. In terms of performance, it may be one of the best we have seen so far. It is extremely powerful – and I mean ridiculously powerful. With an Intel Core i7 Quadcore processor and 16 GB RAM, the ASUS Zephyrus packs a powerful punch. If you have these specs, you don’t have to read the game requirements on the back of the disk cover.

ASUS has also incorporated 512 GB of storage space in the hard disk and an 8 GB NVIDIA Graphic card, which gives the Zephyrus unmatchable performance capability.

Weighing just less than 4.9 pounds, it has a 15.6 inch screen with Full HD resolution (1920×1080), which gives you the ultimate gaming experience without straining your eyes because of the anti-glare screen.

The ASUS Zephyrus might be one of the most popular laptops in the world; however, gamers have reported a couple of drawback in its overall design. For example, the absence of an SD card slot prevents gamers from using a popular form of storage to create a backup of their data. The only good thing about the keyboard is its appearance. It performs poorly.

Perhaps the most serious issue users have had with the ASUS Zephyrus is its battery life, which has been described by critics as being “laughable.” Choose wisely before buying the laptop; it does have beastly performance, but be wary of its poor battery life.

Origin Evo15-S Review: Thinner, Lighter and VR Ready

Posted on 20 July 2017

Portability really isn’t something you commonly associate with gaming laptops. Most of the flagship devices in the category are over an inch in thickness. But I guess thinner is better. With the new Ultra- thin Origin EVO15-S, things are changing. This 15-inch VR gaming laptop is half the thickness and weight of other popular devices from popular companies such as NVIDIA.
This ultra-thin laptop has all the features, which its more bulky counterparts have to offer, hence the success of the device.

o NVIDIA GTX 1060 6 GB Graphics Card, which gives you the ultimate gaming experience.
o Use the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive for a desktop ready gaming experience, which is certainly something that is fresh.
o 7th generation Intel Core i-7 Quad core processor with Turbo Boost coupled with Hyper-Threading technology to allow you to run the latest applications and heaviest games with ease. Lightning fast speeds are guaranteed.
o 16 GB of DDR4 memory gives you the privilege of saying goodbye to delays in switching apps and slowdowns in the system.
o 2 terabytes of storage capacity enable you to store your data without fretting over how much storage space is left on the disk.
o Bluetooth 4.0, Intel Dual Band Wireless Networking, LAN card and USB Connectivity allow you to connect to your phone, should you need to do so.

The poorly placed power button and the absence of a touch screen can create reluctance amongst some gamers. It is also absurdly expensive, which acts as a major hindrance in sales, but it being expensive does not justify the fact that it is not worth the cost. Although many other laptops are available with the same NVIDIA Graphics card for a considerably less amount of capital, this is by far the best.

Despite these unfavorable features of the EVO15-S, it has certainly proved that gaming laptops do not have to be the size of cartons, which break your back every time you carry them.

These wireless headphones come with plenty of bass and clear mids, which means they can get super loud without distorting the sound. Besides the sound quality, the wireless connection is also topnotch, with zero disconnections and fast connection.
The battery inside the Logitech’s G533 can last you up to 15 hours and is also replaceable, though remember that these headphones lack the typical passive mode you can just plug in a cable and carry on with your work when the battery dies. You will always need batteries to use them.
