​Asus Zephyrus M (GM501) Review: Laptop for Gamers

The Asus ROG has launched its slimmest laptop yet – the Zephyrus M GM501; it is a worth laptop for gamers! It is safe to say that the machine is an improved version of previous Zephyrus laptops. The device has a slick and unique chassis and has enhanced audio and keyboard qualities. You will find it performing comparatively better compared to notebooks with Nvidia GTX 1070 GPU and 8th Gen Core i7 coffee lake processors.

Asus has kept the exterior simple yet elegant. The laptop comes in Black Titanium – with a two panel lid – vertical striations and horizontal lines giving the device a two-tone effect. The exterior seems quite similar to the brand’s previous flagship device. You will find significant updates in the interior such as the digital touchpad, which they moved along with the keyboard and placed in the center of the deck.

The keyboard and touchpad have gone through a modification process and feels comfortable with an additional numpad. The power button has pushed up on the top of the home key. You will find buttons for the volume and ROG gaming center above the F1-F4 buttons.

The GM501 features two USB 3.1 Type-A ports on the left and one on the right side. So much so, there is an option for a Thunderbolt 3 port and secure lock slot along with HDMI port, combine headphone and power jack on the left side. Also, to enhance your gaming experience, the GM501 sports a 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080 matte screen. The developers have incorporated Nvidia G-Sync technology as well, which reduces screen latency and tearing. With awesome video qualities, Asus has also significantly improved the audio quality of the machine and you can experience surround sound and fantastic bass as the device is integrated with Sonic Radar 3 software.
