ASUS ROG Zephyrus: Revolutionary Gaming Laptop

Posted on 31 July 2017

A decade ago, high-Fi gamin on laptops was considered absurd with so many standalone components that had to be purchased. The inception of gaming laptops brought a boom in the gaming industry, a much needed win for PC-based gamers that preferred PC gaming in comparison to buying consoles such as the PlayStation or the Xbox. Gaming laptops, in the beginning, were huge, bulky machines which had a limited amount of memory and laughable specifications. But they have come a long way.

Modern gaming laptops are slim, smart and savage. Take the ASUS ROG Zephyrus, which is an absolute beast. It has set very high standards among ultra-thin laptops, taking competitors by surprise.

The ASUS Zephyrus is one of the most aesthetically built laptops in the world, which gives its owner a sense of pride.
When it comes to ASUS’s flagship PC, it’s not just the look that’s appealing. In terms of performance, it may be one of the best we have seen so far. It is extremely powerful – and I mean ridiculously powerful. With an Intel Core i7 Quadcore processor and 16 GB RAM, the ASUS Zephyrus packs a powerful punch. If you have these specs, you don’t have to read the game requirements on the back of the disk cover.

ASUS has also incorporated 512 GB of storage space in the hard disk and an 8 GB NVIDIA Graphic card, which gives the Zephyrus unmatchable performance capability.

Weighing just less than 4.9 pounds, it has a 15.6 inch screen with Full HD resolution (1920×1080), which gives you the ultimate gaming experience without straining your eyes because of the anti-glare screen.

The ASUS Zephyrus might be one of the most popular laptops in the world; however, gamers have reported a couple of drawback in its overall design. For example, the absence of an SD card slot prevents gamers from using a popular form of storage to create a backup of their data. The only good thing about the keyboard is its appearance. It performs poorly.

Perhaps the most serious issue users have had with the ASUS Zephyrus is its battery life, which has been described by critics as being “laughable.” Choose wisely before buying the laptop; it does have beastly performance, but be wary of its poor battery life.

Google Pixel 2 Rumors and News

Posted on 28 July 2017

The announcement of the Google Pixel 2 has been accompanied by extraordinary levels of hype among critics. Rumors suggest that the Google Pixel 2 will be the first phone to include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset in its build, which according to experts, will make Pixel 2 one of the most powerful phones that has ever hit the market.

Google has only recently discontinued its flagship series, Nexus, after which they introduced the dynamic Google Pixel as their crown jewel, setting global markets ablaze with a much more premium device. With the introduction of the new and improved version Google’s flagship series, critics believe that record sales will be achieved.

A curved screen gives Pixel 2 the aesthetic design it needed to compete against other high-end phones that reign over the smartphone industry. The 4.97 inch screen can display an optimum resolution of 2560×1312. The Pixel 2 XL, however, is equipped with a much larger screen, for users who prefer size when choosing their smart phone.

The finger print sensor on the rear plays an essential role in the aesthetic design of the Pixel 2, keeping the front pain and elegant. Tiny bezels on the phone’s body give the Pixel 2 a more sophisticated outlook; however, their main purpose is to improve the grip and provide superior handling.

The Pixel 2 comes with 12MP rear and 7MP front cameras, which, according to Google, are an improvement over that their former flagship series, although the details have not yet been specified. I think it is safe to assume that Google will not disappoint when it comes cutting-edge camera technology.

Other notable features of the Pixel 2 include its waterproof design and “squeezability,” like that of the HTC U11. A major disappointment, however, is the absence of a standard 3.5mm audio jack.

The Pixel 2 cannot be classified as an original with the number of features it has adopted from other flagship phones. However, we can only wait and see whether it meets our expectations, or exceeds them.

Motorola Moto Z2 Force: Available for Pre-Order

Posted on 27 July 2017

The Motorola Moto Z2 incorporates some desirable features. Strongly built, with a shatter-resistant glass screen, it guarantees durability, which is perfect for users who are careless with their phone. It also has a 360 degree camera and a number of additional Motomods, which are the hallmark of a Motorola product.

The Moto Z2 Force is an amalgamation of the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. This makes it thinner and lighter than its predecessors, but hard-to-break at the same time.

Statistically speaking, the Moto Z2 Force is much more cosmetically sound than its previous versions, being 13% thinner and 12% lighter than the Moto Z.

The phone is available in a variety of colors, all of which come with a brushed metal finish; namely Super Black, Lunar Frey, and Fine Gold for its feminine users.

Despite the 5-layer protection that this phone incorporates, it does not provide effective water-resistance, a feature nearly all flagship phones of different companies have. There is a hydrophobic nanocoating, which provides some level of resilience towards water, particularly designed to safeguard the phone’s motherboard from rain, but I’m afraid it’s not one of those phones that you can take underwater, like the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Motorola has tried taking a leaf out of Apple’s book and removed the standard headphone jack from the Moto Z2 Force, which is the only phone in the Z2 collection to not have one.

Equipped with 4 GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, the Z2 Force is ultra fast, and provides a smartphone experience better than that of its high-rated predecessors.

The dual lens rear camera comes with laser autofocus and phase detection, ensures you commemorate important events the way you want; black and white, blurred background, 5 meter working distance in the dark are options that give you the choice of taking pictures the way you want, and not fret about picture quality in the dark.

The Moto Z2 is a good accessory to have. It’s priced at around $800, which is a setback however, because in this price range, you can choose from a variety of flagship phones from other companies, which are way more in demand that the Motorola Z2.

Oppo UDP 203 Review: 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Player

Posted on 24 July 2017

Every once in a while, we get to experience the introduction of a technological device that not only baffles us; it also has a significant impact on the way we perceive technology as a whole. The Oppo UDP 203 4k Blu Ray Player is one of these innovative appliances, which has revolutionized the utility of 4k HD display. This Blu Ray and DVD player have spectacular display, which makes other product developers hit the drawing board to come up with a product that could compete with the brilliance of the UDP 203.

o MediaTek Quad Core Processor to provide lightning fast speed, when loading and playing a disk.
o Built in Wi-Fi for video and music streaming from synched storage devices and computers. An Ethernet port has also been provided, in case you prefer a wired connection.
o Variable video resolution up to 3840×2160 pixels.
o HDMI 2.0 port to stream and play 4k HD videos and HDMI 1.4 port to play high-quality audio. 3 USB Ports (One front, two rear)

The UDP203 can play Ultra HD Blu Ray, 3D, standard Blu Ray, DVD, SACD, DVD Audio, CDs and RWR disks. The potential to play all these video formats saves you from fretting over what kind of disk you need to buy, and this diversity also gives you the satisfaction of having an appliance that is unlikely to become outdated shortly.

A solid metal front panel with brushed aluminum, a detachable power cord, and an elegantly illuminated remote control give it a sophisticated and contemporarily aesthetic design, which makes it a stylish accessory for your TVs and home theater systems. A solidly built disc tray and optimized laser for faster disk reading, coupled with built in Dolby Digital for efficient audio decoding ensure superb functioning capability, one that very few media players provide.

If you own a 4k HD screen, the best way to show off is to get the Oppo UDP 203 player, which compliments your appliance. No point in getting one if you don’t have an HD instrument to connect it to. But HD fanatics need to get it as soon as possible; it is the actual personification of 4K HD.

The LG SJ9 Review: High Resolution Audio Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos

Posted on 21 July 2017

The LG SJ9 is a high quality Dolby Atmos Soundbar with excellent sound quality, but it is one that is not as unique as it is hyped. I agree it is “slightly” better than its counterparts in some aspects, but that is not enough to make it a flagship market product. Nonetheless, the SJ9 is a worthy competitor, and does not fall short in any of the major features that decide whether an audio device is a yes or a no.

When it comes to special effects, the SJ9 provides more vertical detail to special effects than others in its category. When it comes to soft, piano music, however, the SJ9 fails to deliver clarity and sensitivity. All in all, you might enjoy some songs when using this particular soundbar, but others will not be as satisfying as they might be when listened to on other devices. When it comes to the bass, the SJ9 plays it loose i.e. bass is not something the SJ9 is known for.

o Top of the list is, of course, Dolby Atmos.
o The SJ9 has an HDMI port, but there is only one of them, which sets it behind other soundbars, most of which are built with 2 three ports, while some even have three.
o In the case of multiple HDMI sources, you could use the HDMI Arc to play sound from the TV to the SJ9. However, Dolby Atmos is not supported by the ARC Channel.
o If you want your audio to be “Atmos-less,” the SJ9 has an optical and 3.5 mm jack as well.
o Bluetooth 4.0
o The latest audio streaming technology is available: Chromecast, Spotify and Music Flow (for iOS users).
The bare comes with a remote as well

A competent and relatively functioning soundbar, the SJ9 is a good gadget to have, but it does not have any major factor which makes it different from other soundbars on the market.

Origin Evo15-S Review: Thinner, Lighter and VR Ready

Posted on 20 July 2017

Portability really isn’t something you commonly associate with gaming laptops. Most of the flagship devices in the category are over an inch in thickness. But I guess thinner is better. With the new Ultra- thin Origin EVO15-S, things are changing. This 15-inch VR gaming laptop is half the thickness and weight of other popular devices from popular companies such as NVIDIA.
This ultra-thin laptop has all the features, which its more bulky counterparts have to offer, hence the success of the device.

o NVIDIA GTX 1060 6 GB Graphics Card, which gives you the ultimate gaming experience.
o Use the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive for a desktop ready gaming experience, which is certainly something that is fresh.
o 7th generation Intel Core i-7 Quad core processor with Turbo Boost coupled with Hyper-Threading technology to allow you to run the latest applications and heaviest games with ease. Lightning fast speeds are guaranteed.
o 16 GB of DDR4 memory gives you the privilege of saying goodbye to delays in switching apps and slowdowns in the system.
o 2 terabytes of storage capacity enable you to store your data without fretting over how much storage space is left on the disk.
o Bluetooth 4.0, Intel Dual Band Wireless Networking, LAN card and USB Connectivity allow you to connect to your phone, should you need to do so.

The poorly placed power button and the absence of a touch screen can create reluctance amongst some gamers. It is also absurdly expensive, which acts as a major hindrance in sales, but it being expensive does not justify the fact that it is not worth the cost. Although many other laptops are available with the same NVIDIA Graphics card for a considerably less amount of capital, this is by far the best.

Despite these unfavorable features of the EVO15-S, it has certainly proved that gaming laptops do not have to be the size of cartons, which break your back every time you carry them.

The Kodak Extra Smartphone is the second smartphone from the company. The design of their Kodak Extra camera from 1941 serves as the inspiration for the design of the smartphone. This phone is ideal for people who love photography and being creative, which is why Kodak’s slogan for the phone is “Don’t just capture, create.”
