If you are looking for a thin and light laptop which is affordable, the Dell Inspiron 14 5000 series is surely a laptop you should consider purchasing. It’s attractive, perfect for short trips and provides a performance good enough for you to get through daily tasks and entertainment easily.

Design & Features
When it comes to design, the Dell Inspiron 14 5000 series looks better than various other laptops in this price range. The chassis is made of polycarbonate with a brushed metal finish on the lid, in addition to a Dell logo in the middle. Most of the mainstream laptops you will find are heavy and thick. However, that is not the case here as it’s one of the lightest and thinnest laptops available on the market.

The keyboard is backlit and spill-resistant with keys which are a bit spongy but overall not a bad typing experience. The touchpad is fairly large and capable of supporting gestures up to four fingers. Coming to the display, it features a decent 14-inch touch-screen display which has a 1336 x 768 resolution. The main drawback is it appears to get duller in daylight, which might prove to be problematic. Also, the colors and contrast aren’t that impressive.
Processor & OS

The 14 5000 series comes with three different configuration options. The typical model boasts an Intel Core i3 CPU that is backed with 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, and an Intel Graphics HD 4400 integrated graphics. You can also step up to Core i5 or Corei7 processor with an impressive 8GB RAM and a 1TB hard drive. The laptop comes preloaded with Windows 8.1 OS.

So, with the Dell Inspiron 14 5000, you can easily carry out your tasks with ease, making it the ideal choice if you are looking for a laptop which provides decent features at a budget price. It is definitely a laptop you can consider buying.
